Georgia election history since after world war II till 2000:

Georgia is a classic Sothern state when it comes to the Presidential elections. Since Abraham Lincoln and the inception of the republican party in 1864, all Presidential elections went for the Democratic party. since the 1960's, it shifted softly to republicans.

Other statewide offices elections were occupied solely by democrats with just a few exceptions.
