Minnesota election history since after world war II till 2000:
Since FDR's first election in 1932, Presidential elections went for the Democrats in almost every election.
Even Ronald Reagan's reelection in 1984 when he won 49 states, he barely lost Minnesota to the because it was his home state of the Democratic nominee.
Other statewide offices elections were mixed between both parties, but tilted more towards the Democrats.
Interesting facts:
In every single election since Abraham Lincoln when the republican party was created, every single presidential election was won by the republican, until after the great depression when FDR won his first election in a landslide.
